🤔 What even is YNAB?

YNAB (which stands for You Need A Budget) is a budgeting app built around one simple idea: give every dollar a job before you spend it. Instead of looking back at where your money went, YNAB helps you plan ahead so you're always in control. It's not about restricting yourself — it's about spending confidently on the things that actually matter to you. Most new users save $600 in their first month and $6,000 in their first year. Not bad, right?

🙋 What does a YNAB coach actually do?

Think of me as your personal YNAB guide, cheerleader, and accountability partner all in one. I set up your budget with you, teach you how the system works, help you figure out your financial goals, and make sure you actually stick with it — which is the part most people struggle with on their own. No boring classes, no judgment, just practical hands-on help tailored to your actual life.

💻 How do sessions work?

All sessions are via video call — Zoom or Google Meet, whichever you prefer. So whether you're in Pennsylvania or Patagonia, we can work together! If you happen to be local to me in the Allentown, PA area, in-person sessions may also be available — just ask.

📱 Do I need YNAB before my first session?

Nope! I'll set everything up with you from scratch. If you already have a YNAB account, that's fine too — we'll pick up wherever you are and get you from "confused" to "confident" as fast as possible.

😬 What if I've tried YNAB before and quit?

No worries! That's my favorite kind of client. You already know YNAB exists and had enough motivation to try it — you just needed someone in your corner to make it stick. You're not bad with money. You just hadn't had the right support yet. I've got you!

💸 What if I'm terrible with money?

Again, no worries! You just weren't taught the skill of being good with money, and that's where I come in. I have worked with people who were drowning in debt, living paycheck to paycheck, and convinced they were hopeless. Every single one of them made progress. You will too.

⏱️ How long until I see results?

Honestly, it varies — and I'd rather be real with you than promise something I can't guarantee. Some people feel a shift after the very first session just from having clarity for the first time. For others it takes a few months to really see the financial impact. What I can promise is that the more you engage with the process, the faster it works.

👥 Who do you work with?

If you're building your financial life — whether you're just starting out, somewhere in the middle and trying to get on track, flying solo, or navigating finances as a couple — I'm your person.

I work best with people who are in the thick of it: earning money, spending money, and trying to figure out how to make it all make sense. Young professionals just getting started, families juggling a million expenses, single people trying to build a safety net, couples who can't agree on a budget — all of you are welcome here.

🎁 Do you offer a referral program?

Yes! For every person you refer who signs up for a package, you'll earn a free hour session or 3 free months of YNAB — your choice! Your friend just needs to mention your name when they sign up.

🔄 Do you offer a repeat customer discount?

Yes! After completing any coaching package, if you sign up for another one you'll get 20% off. Once a client, always a client.

📈 Do you offer investing or retirement advice?

I'm not a financial planner or investment professional, so that's outside my lane. BUT, I can absolutely help you find money in your budget to put toward investing and retirement. Finding the money is half the battle, and that part? I've totally got you.

💳 What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept PayPal, Venmo, CashApp and Zelle. Payments are in US dollars — any currency conversion fees, foreign transaction fees or other bank shenanigans are on you. (Aren't banks fun? 🙄)

💰 What does YNAB cost?

YNAB's current pricing is listed on their website at ynab.com/pricing. When you hire me as your coach I'll give you a special link for an extended free trial — way longer than what you'd get signing up on your own. When your trial ends you'll pay YNAB directly. I don't make any commission from your signup — the extended trial is just a perk YNAB gives me to pass along to my clients. 🎉
